POD: Photograph A Day / Day# 114
– 12/6/11 –
In our Digital Imaging Class, our instructor had us create a Sports Composite. We were to photograph a person, an “athlete”, and then photograph a sports or athletic background – which was to be processed in HDR (Photomatics). To create a believable image we had to photograph both scenes from a similar – subject distance and angle – to the camera, and blend the subject onto the background image. My model (Michael Dyer) was awesome, he tried different poses – let me talk him into smearing vaseline on his arms and face; sprits-ed with a spray bottle to create a “sweaty” look – and was generally all-around great help – thank you. I also want to thank Principal Kemper for allowing me to photograph the high school GYM (Asheboro High School, “the old GYM”).
